With her exquisite sense of colour and eye for beautiful shapes Carrie Hayes has created a line of edgy, feminine pieces. Whether it be an expression in a line or hidden complexity in the details, CARRIE offers a subtle suprise in every collection. CARRIE is worn and loved by intelligent, easy going, sexy women. Born and raised on the breathtaking Niagara Escarpment, Carrie Hayes has a lifelong passion for creating beautiful things. She graduated with honours from the International Academy of Design's Fashion Design program. Carrie is the winner of the frst Lulu B. Fashion Award and is a resident of the Toronto Fashion Incubator.
Interpretation of Theme
CARRIE is characterized by it’s opposing elements: hard and soft, dark and light, masculine
and femenine. The line is a harmonized blend of two extremes, creating within each collection a
compelling tension.
CARRIE’s Art of Fashion: Between the Lines collection is the juxtaposition of two different themes: shore birds and Art Deco
crystal. Feathers and crystal have scientifc similarities but diverge signifcantly in their real-world forms.
CARRIE’s Between the Lines collection draws parallels between the two while exploring
their unique differences. Each design has it’s pair: male/female, feathers/crystal, air and water.
